Equal Society In Harrison Bergerson And The Lottery By...

â€Å"It takes a Village to raise a child† as they say, It also takes a village to sacrifice its villagers. In the stories â€Å"Harrison Bergeron† by Kurt Vonnegut Jr,which is a story about a completely equal society, including when it comes to mental health. â€Å"The Lottery† By Shirley Jackson,which is a story about a town drawing to see who will be sacrifice. and The Hunger Games by Gary Ross. a story about 12 districts send two of their own people as tributes to fight in a competition to the death. The protagonists of this story are matched up with a antagonist being their society. In all three stories the public around them plays the role of the antagonist. The pile of stones the boys had made earlier was ready; there were stones on the ground with the blowing scraps of paper that had come out of the box Delacroix selected a stone so large she had to pick it up with both hands and turned to Mrs. Dunbar. â€Å"Come on,† she said. â€Å"Hurry up. â€Å"(Jackson,7) they may not love the lottery but they wont end it they just want to get it over with and go on about their day. The people in the village do not try to change their ways but to continue and advance the problem to the next generation In the movie the hunger games by Gary Ross the antagonist of the story is clearly the audience because of the simple love of the games. In The Hunger Games the fans are cheering when a tribute beats another to death with a brick repeatedly.the fans were so excited to see this not just because it was the final two tributes battling it out.By them cheering it gives a sign to the people who run the game that the people of the capitol love it and they want the game to continue. Also in the movie there is repeated talk during the tributes examinations of a sponsor to give them equipment during the game.this alone can keep it going, Rich people can give resources to the tributes to
